Empowering
women and men
with opportunities to
create fulfilling lives.
EMPLOYMENT
HER trains and
employs former inmates to sew reusable pads to
help them earn sustainable
income.
Many former inmates face stigma
due to their criminal record, making
it extremely difficult for them to find
jobs after being released from
prison. We strive to give former
inmates hope and a second chance
to begin a new life from the income
they earn sewing HER pads.
In partnership with
The House of Blessing
HER partners with the House of Blessing Foundation, a Thai NGO
that helps former prisoners and their families reintegrate into
society, to set up our vocational pad sewing programs.
“It might seem weird that I am a man and
sewing pads for women, but I feel
empowered knowing that that my pads are
helping other women and giving me a stable
source of income.”
Kong,
Head Seamster
"We are immensely grateful to HER for giving
former inmates the opportunity to earn
income and help them become financially
independent."
Wuttichai Wongjirarungroj,
President of House of Blessing Foundation
“HER’s program has greatly benefited our
former inmates experiencing difficulty finding
jobs. HER not only employs female, but also
male former inmates, so men are aware of
women’s menstrual struggles.”
